Ruthie and Chris: Engagement Part 1

Yes!! Here it is finally Ruthie and Chris' engagement pictures Part 1:The Beach!! We took these while the guys (Chris Allen Band) were playing at a camp in Destin, Fl. The beaches in Destin are absolutely gorgeous so we headed out super early one morning to take pictures on a deserted strip of sand. Ruthie and Chris are such a cute couple... I can't wait for their wedding coming up in October! Part 2 coming soon... enjoy!!

This picture below is pretty much one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken.... aren't Ruthie's eyes just gorgeous!!

First Baptist Humble

Here is a little snapshot of a camp we went to just outside of Huntsville, Tx. for First Baptist Humble. There would be more pictures but I spent a lot of the week hanging out with Sarah of Sarah Ainsworth Photography soaking up all her photography wisdom!! Enjoy the snapshot... more camps and summer fun to come!!

Rangers Game

Last week the guys (Chris Allen Band) led worship for the youth at First Baptist Colleyville. While in town our good friend Zack took us all to a Rangers game!! It has been years since I have been to a Rangers game... and we all had a lot of fun. Sadly I was the only female that went to the Rangers game... along with 7 guys! Needless to say I'm not up on all my baseball terminology and was not able to join in all the guys sports stats conversations. In light of this I spent the majority of the evening with my camera attached to my eye, and my finger on the shutter button taking pictures!

It's not so obvious in this picture as it is below.... but this is also a panorama I took as we walked into the game!

Ever since Jodi and I ran into our gigapanning friend at Rice... I have wanted to attempt a panorama... so here is one of my first attempts!

My row... Chris Allen band minus Cordy!

The guys that sat behind us and a couple rows up.... thanks for being the only one who payed any attention to me and my camera Michael!

My handsome husband and I!!

The Rangers in action!

Another one of my husband.... he's so handsome I just couldn't help myself!!

In the middle of the game a one of the Rangers hit a home run... and fireworks went off! I whipped out my camera as fast as I could.... and this is what I got... smoke!!

Last, but most definitely not least, the new Cowboys stadium in all it's glory!! I think if I could go to any game in any stadium across all sports, I would go to a Cowboys game in their home stadium!!

Ft. Faith, Alabama!!

First camp of the summer with the Chris Allen Band... Ft. Faith, Alabama!! Our first camp this summer was a Jr. High camp with some kids from Huntsville, Alabama. It was located about 30 minutes outside of Montgomery, Alabama, who knew Alabama was so beautiful!!? This sweet little lake was right outside the cabin we stayed in at the camp. It was so cool to wake up everyday surrounded by so much of God's beautiful creation!!

The camp itself went very well. The kids spent a lot of time each day in the word and worshiping!! They came in the first day of camp ready to worship... and each night just got better. The last night of the camp there was so much emotion and joy in the room.... at the end of the worship service everyone just kinda burst into celebration!! It was so neat to watch and see the kids grab ahold of the truths they were being taught and run with them!!

A little behind the scenes... Michael the bass player and Coley our sound guy.... making the guys sound good!!

Love this picture.... we laugh a lot on the road!!

The view outside our cabin.... kinda felt like we were on an island somewhere in the tropics!!

Our cabin for the week... and the boys being... well... the boys!!
Chris relaxing and reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan... such a good book... I recommend it to everyone!!

Long story short... we went to Whataburger one night... and Michael (the bass player) was trying to pay for our food.... and Chris Allen wouldn't have it, jumped out of the van and stood in front of the van in the drive through line to pay. Just another ordinary night with the guys. Later that same night we were also pulled over for a missing headlight on the van (that still isn't fixed)!!

What do the guys do in their free time you might ask...? This picture below is a pretty accurate portrayal of a typical night on the road with the guys! Silly videos, jokes and tons of strange Chris and Cordy faces!!

Last but not least... the blob!! Every camp has one... and we checked out Ft. Faith's late one night. Coley and Michael went down to the blob after all the campers were in bed... and after all the lights in the camp were turned out. Chris and I went down to the lake with them to watch the fun! Not thinking I left my nice flash back in the cabin.... so Chris and I used my nice camera and the flash on my little point and shoot to somehow get the pics below.

The guys before they jumped!

Coley on the blob!

Coley getting some air... this is one of the few pics Chris and I able to time right and synch his flash with my camera!

Chris Allen Band

Sunday the guys from the Chris Allen Band and I headed to downtown Orlando to try and get a couple more recent pictures for their press kit. They mostly wanted just a simple pictures of all their faces... nothing fancy. We headed downtown, drove around for just about forever trying to find a parking spot, and then when we had finally made the decision to pay $8 to park.... it started to rain. We spent the next hour trecking around in the rain trying to find cool picture spots, talking to a random security guard and hiding under overhangs in an attempt not to get soaked. I will admit that I got a little frustrated at the rain... downtown Orlando is so cool and I have been wanting to take pictures down there for awhile. Then when the opportunity arrives... so does the rain!! We didn't get to take that many pictures... but here is what we got from the few I took! Let me know which one ya'll like... the guys are only sending out one with their kit (the one right below is my personal fav!)

We tried the whole reflection thing....hmm.... not so sure?

This one cracked me up!! I told the guys to all look off... and this is the result!!

These are just a couple pictures of downtown Orlando... so much cool stuff down there!! The next time I have a sunny afternoon off... I am just going to spend it cruising around downtwon taking pics!!
